About the role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Dental Technician to take over the production management and have responsibility for the technical aspect of the Prosthetics section of the laboratory. Have the ability to plan, organise and produce work for our clients to a high standard.

Managing a team of up to ten technicians, the production manager should be responsible for the efficiency of the manufacturing process in all departments. Ensure all jobs are being dispatched on time and date requested in the order forms. The production manager should be working closely with the Customer Support and Admin team for planning, organising, and preparing the lab work for collection and delivery.


The successful candidate should be involved in the production whilst overseeing the day-to-day running of the laboratory. He/She should have enough experience to have the confidence to lead the team in the capacity of technical authority to ensure good quality of work. Being competent in dealing with dentists’ inquiries in terms of discussing individual cases and any issues or complaints.


The role will oversee the manufacturing facility and keep all equipment in good working order. Manage the stock levels and place orders with the suppliers to ensure all raw materials required for the manufacturing process never run out of stock.


Liaise with the Directors and the HR officer to recruit new team members when required and develop a high-performing team. Track the technicians' productivity and maintain focus on the set KPI’s for meeting the profit margin targets.

Full-time

This is a permanent position. Full time hours from Monday to Friday. 28 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.

Qualifications:

Qualified dental technician.
Minimum of 10 years experience working in a busy laboratory environment.
GDC registration is required.

Personal Specification:

Excellent attention to detail.
Experience working on their own and as part of a team.
Efficiency and quality driven. Ability to respond to dentists' inquiries. Team leadership experience is essential.

Behavior & skills:

Being able to prioritise and manage workflow for meeting deadlines and delivery schedules.
Quality driven, being able to identify flows before the jobs leave the lab.
